NURTURING GENEROUS HEARTS – Stewardship Conference 2013

SAVE THE DATE: AUGUST 22-AUGUST 24, 2013!
The Synod of the Southwest presents, “Nurturing Generous Hearts”, a stewardship conference to be held at the Phoenix Airport Hilton August 22-24, 2013.

Keynote speakers are the Rev. J. Clif Christopher, author of “Not Your Parents’ Offering Plate”, the Rev. Dave Crittenden, Director of GAMC Stewardship Ministry and Laura Mendenhall, Senior Philanthropy Advisor for Texas Presbyterian Foundation. The worship leader will be the Rev. Shannon Webster, Senior Pastor of First PC in Birmingham, AL and former Executive Presbyter of Sierra Blanca Presbytery. The cost will be $75 (double-room) or $50 (commuter rate).

The Synod of the Southwest is offering an amazing opportunity for students currently in grades 7-12 from the Presbyteries of de Cristo, Grand Canyon, Santa Fe and Sierra Blanca to experience the work of the larger church by attending the 2012 General Assembly, as well as serving in various mission projects in the Pittsburgh area: General Assembly Mission Experience (G.A.M.E. 2012). Stewardship Kaleidoscope 2012

The theme this year is Gratitude and Generosity, Living the Faith, to be held in Charlotte, NC, March 12-14, 2012. There will be more than 30 workshop choices covering wide range of stewardship and financial discipleship topics. There will be opportunity for conversation and network development among the elders, pastors, judicatory staff and volunteers attending. Download the electronic brochure.
