Bob began his work with the Synod of the Southwest in January 2004 as a temporary contract employee helping with an accounting backlog following the move of the Synod office from Phoenix to Tucson. After working the remainder of 2004, the Synod Personnel Committee hired him as the part time Accounting Coordinator on January 1, 2005. Prior to joining the Synod staff, Bob had retired except for running a personal Income Tax Preparation business which he still operates in his spare time. Most of his professional life was spent in various store management positions with Sears Roebuck & Company throughout several Midwestern states where his responsibilities included many of the accounting functions associated with management of a store.
Bob has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management and Administration from Bradley University in Peoria, IL. In 1972 he married his wife Leslie, a fellow Sears’s management trainee; they have a son and daughter residing in Nashville, TN.
