Kaleidoscope 22 Biblical Preaching Event

The Synod of the Southwest will hold its next Biblical Preaching Event at beautiful Ghost Ranch, Abiquiu, NM, July 24-30, 2017. The Rev. Dr. Jacob Myers, Assistant Professor of Homiletics at Columbia Theological Seminary will lead this event entitled, “Preaching for the Love of God”.

This exploration of biblical preaching operates according to a simple premise: the purpose of Holy Scripture is to help us love God more fully and our neighbor more truly. These tasks have grown increasingly difficult in our fractured, divisive, and increasingly unjust world. Challenging many of our assumptions about how to approach the Bible, this event will lay out ways of engaging Scripture for preaching with eyes and ears attuned to the way of God in Jesus Christ and the world God loves.
